Barak was one of the top 5 finalists in the Dream Chemistry Award for the year 2023, held by the Czech and Polish Academies of Sciences.
He presented a project titled "A Computational Molecular Sculptor". The project deals with designing molecular crystals with customized properties using machine learning algorithms.
The annual Dream Chemistry Award competition, co-organized by the Czech Academy and the Polish Academy of Sciences, recognizes young scientists who aspire to fulfill their dream of solving fundamental problems in chemistry or chemistry-related disciplines with bold ideas and innovative solutions.
This years' event took place on 4-5 of December 2023 at Prague.
The award is financially supported by the IOCB Tech Foundation.
